If, like me, you’re think of looking for a new job in the UK, then here a few useful websites to help you with the search.
If you’re a student in the UK you may need a part time job to help you afford food (and all those nights out). This website specialises in jobs for students, obviously including loads of bar work, front of house and other part time shift work. It is also good for finding jobs to fill your gap year or christmas/summer breaks.
This is the perfect site for recent graduates like me who are struggling to find a job. It can help you find a job that suits your degree and takes your grades into account in the search.
This site was actually recommended to me by the people at the job centre. It pulls jobs from all around the internet (including the government job seekers website) and put them all in one place for you to browse. Very useful to get the widest job search possible.
For those of you who think an apprenticeship is more suitable, this is the site for you. Lots of great opportunities for the person who didn’t like the idea of university but still wants to learn.
This is great for is you’re not looking for the standard 9 – 5 as this site focusses on agency work. They find the work for you and you just have to turn up. It’s usually good pay as long as you get the hours.
Good luck in your job searches!
‘Till next time
Our flat is tiny and so we’re forever trying to think of clever ways to store our things without taking up too much space.
I’ve come across this awesome post whilst on Pinterest and, although a lot of the objects are completely out of price range, there are some very fun ideas!
Maybe in the next few weeks I will be able to show you our own pocket money friendly and space saving tips we use in our own flat!
‘Till next time!
I included this phone cover in my ‘I am Lion, Hear me Roar!’ treasury and couldn’t stop thinking about it since.
Ash’s student loan finally came through a few weeks ago and so I decided I’d been obsessing over it enough that I could allow myself to buy it.
Finally my phone is protected from scratches and scrapes! Plus it’s also looking very cool!
You can get it as a cover for the Iphone, Galaxy s3 and [my phone] the s2. You just have to leave a note on the order saying which model you would like it for, it’s as easy as that!
The only thing I would say is that i’d prefer it in black, however that’s just my personal preference and I knew I would feel that way before I even bought it. I just loved the image too much to really care, and still do.
The cover itself seems very proffessional. The colour is just as it looks in the shop pictures and it feels very durable whilst still light. Plus it fits my phone perfectly! The delivery was really quick and it all came professionally packaged up and in one piece.
My boyfriend reckoned the price was a bit steep, I personally think it was worth it as no one I know will have this cover and it’s so perfectly ‘Me’. I will most definitely consider buying from them again when i’m allowed a phone upgrade. Maybe next time i’ll even design my own cover? (yes that is possible!)
I can’t wait to strut my stuff with this ferocious lion!
All in all a very good shopping experience with Create and Case. I would highly recommend them.
‘Till next time
Last wednesday i went out for our ‘staff party’ and managed to lose my phone (really i think it was stolen) in central london. But luckily i was due a free upgrade and so went phone shopping with Ashley last saturday (as i didn’t have a clue what to get). Whoever stole my iphone has now given me a nice free Galaxy SII. I was meant to have paid for the handset but the shop had made a mistake on the pricing and so gave me the upgrade for free making me a very happy penguin.
It was also a friends birthday and Ashley had organised a little get together for him that same day so we also went shopping for a present. We got him a big flying disk as he likes things like that and then managed to get sidetracked and spent money on ourselves. Ashley bought a remote controlled helicopter and I bought a little ‘ecosystem’ complete with shrimp! I don’t have a good picture of my shrimp yet though, they move too much.
Then we met up with the birthday boy and took him (and another friend) to an all you can eat chinese for vegetarians, him being both a vegetarian and enjoying chinese food. He seemed very happy with our choice of restaurant 🙂
They ended up staying over in our flat, playing video games till the early hours of the morning and getting drunk whilst i slept in the bed next to them hoping to get up at 8 for work the next morning.
At work we had a ‘kids’ day and I was in charge of painting childrens faces. It was pretty fun.
Ash and Jack met me from work and then we went to Trent country park. They played with their new toys and some sticks whilst I went in search for the elusive deer.
I didn’t find any deer.
