I have a new endeavour to go hand in hand with my wildlife photography in progress and so set out to Alexandra Palace to see the fallow deer that will be featuring in it. Unfortunately they had all disappeared! I assume they are inside and away from this bitter, cold weather, but it was quite a disappointment. I do have some ideas for what I can do with some other creatures, though, whilst I wait for their return.
So as not to waste our trip, I got Ash to take a few photographs of me in my newest creation! A sparkly, flowery, cosy infinity scarf! It really was very warm and cosy.
The outer fabric is the same as with my cape, and beautiful black, shimmering fabric I just adore. Hopefully I can buy more of it soon as I’ve more or less run out!
The inner fabric is a gorgeous, silk-like fabric which feels lovely against the skin and features a pretty flower design.
The scarf can be worn in the depths of winter with a thick coat to keep you nice and toasty warm, but it is also a good match with a simple t-shirt in slightly warmer weather.
I wore it with a plain black top, and big black waisted belt finished with this gorgeous blue skirt. I felt that the flower patterns in the skirt and scarf complimented each other well, plus I am just in love with this skirt (a bargain £3 from Primark!)
As it was a rather cold day I also wore tights with knee length socks to keep my legs warm, and these adorable fluffy boots!
Finally I finished the outfit off with some earrings I made for myself ages ago (more like I loved them so much I couldn’t bare to part with them). The blue matched perfectly and the chain drops gave a sense of elegance to the outfit.
My make-up was simple. Just a light pink on my eyes with some winged liner and a hint of pink on the cheeks and lips.
Hopefully the Fallow deer will return soon, but for now you can find this scarf listed in my shop right here
Decided to bite the bullet and sign up with Bloglovin. Finally I can follow all those blogs that aren’t on wordpress as well! 🙂
Wow, I’ve left this far too long yet again. I’m pretty bad at this. But at least now my Blog can be more about my struggle to get into acting and less about me being depressed and needing some form of male attention.
Although actually since the last blog I have managed to get myself a boyfriend miraculously, and yes it’s the guy I mentioned in the last post. We met online, via Dailybooth, got chatting and just seemed to get on really well. Then it just so happened I was travelling to London for that photoshoot from a few posts ago and so he asked if I wanted to meet up, something which apparently i have to thank one of his friends for as he more or less told him to man up and ask me. Rollardisco’s and funtimes ensued.
As anyone who read my last post will know, I was being all pathetic and convinced I shouldn’t get into a relationship as I’d ruin it somehow as I seem to be good at doing, but luckily I manned up and today is actually our 2 month anniversary. 🙂
Anyways. Performing Artsy Stuff.
Yesterday I finally got my Degree! Performing Arts BA (Hons). It may have taken four years but i finally got there! I think i was definitely ready to leave university and i’m looking forward to using what i’ve learnt to hopefully land a few acting jobs.
Speaking about landing jobs. I’ve been offered a wedding styled photoshoot for the end of August. Unfortunately it’s in Milton Keynes and i don’t seem to be down that end of the country any more, however i’m still pretty tempted to go.
I’ve also managed to grab myself an interview for an agency on Tuesday. It would mainly be for walk ons and Extra roles, but it’s a start at least, and who knows, someone might spot me. Lets just hope the interview goes well.
I do only seem to be applying for Film/TV jobs at the moment, but I definitely want to keep in touch with stage acting to some degree.
Nothing beats the buzz of a live audience.
Till next time! Stay Happy!
Yesterday it was RIDICULOUSLY hot. Unfortunately i spent the whole day inside, reading through millions and millions of journals. It got to the point where i thought my brain had actually melted just a little bit. But at least i think it will help towards my Dissertation, i definitely found quite
a few useful quotes. It guess it was worth the nearly £200 i spent on travel and hotels…But i’ll wait till i get my grade back to decide on that.
Then i set off for what should have been a 4hr train journey. Unfortunately one of my trains got delayed as it was so busy it was hard to fit everyone on, this in turn made me miss my connection and then i had to wait an hour for the next one. 3 trains and 5 1/2 hours later i made it home at around 10:30pm. Shattered.
Yet somehow i got chatting and didn’t end up sleeping till about 2am, as you do, good job i allowed myself my first lie in in weeks today! Lush!
Also, if you remember from a post a few days ago i did a photoshoot, i’ve got the images back (which are dotted around this post). They went straight on facebook and lots of people i haven’t talked to in ages have started commenting on them and talking to me. That could have something to do with the underwear shots…
Surprisingly though, my mum didn’t mind the nakedness. I think she actually liked a few of the shots, it’s my sister who had a slight problem really. haha!
I should probably go pack now though as we’re off to Wales later. I really am getting around a lot lately, country-wise at least.
Till next time! Stay Happy!
Ok, so i didn’t update the day after as i said i would. I fail as usual. But at least this time i have an excuse!
This weekend i went to London for a photoshoot. It was fuuunnn and i’ve just got to look at the images! They look amazing! I can’t wait to get the CD of them so i can show people. I even did a few underwear shots, something I never thought i’d have the confidence to do, but i’ve kind of got into the ‘fuck it’ mindset in this last year. Not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing…career wise i’d say good, otherwise i reckon it could back fire on me. But we shall see.
Whilst in London i decided to go visit a guy called Ashley. We spent the day just generally wondering around. We saw some street performers on the south bank which was pretty cool, especially the breakdancers! We went to Trafalgar square and there was a random concert celebrating Holland, was random but good. Then we wandered to convent garden and to green park and then to Hamleys. It was random but fun 🙂
After hamleys it was time to tube it to the rollerdisco! It was ridiculously fun, and i only fell over 3 times… My legs we’re killing me by the end, definitely some good exercise though! There were a few people there who seemed like they went every week. They were insanely good, i wish i could dance on skates like that. Instead i took to either skating, or dancing whilst sat down.
The disco didn’t finish until about 2am and the tubes we’re closed so i ended up having to stay the night in London. The next day Ashley’s friend visited and we pretty much spent the day just watching films and doing nothing. Then we all forgot it was sunday and again i missed the last train and had to stay another night. As i hadn’t factored staying over into the equation, i didn’t really have anything with me. Needless to say, i was feeling pretty skanky today. But at least i’d borrowed a towel and had a shower, so i was kind of clean.
Now i really should pack, ready to go to canterbury tomorrow so i can sit in a library for 2 days watching videos of Grotowski’s work and reading through texts and reviews. Exciting i know. I might give myself a little bit of time to wander around and look at pretty things.
